Got a new guitar?
Finally! Your parents or yourself got a new guitar! Well lets take a look what we have to learn about that guitar if you are a little unsure what to do or expect
Alright here we have my two favorite of my guitars the Gibson Acoustic, And the Gibson Electric. Now you either have a Acoustic which is the one above, or the Electric which is below. Lets start with the acoustic
The acoustic is a hollow guitar with a big head and a short neck usually with only 20 frets Lets take a closer look shall we?

Ok lets start off with the basics
Here is a basic guitar neck. Now you have 18 frets in the picture.
Those little white dots are the punctions (We will get to those later)
And those silvers bars are the frets, well this is simple eh?
The spaces between the frets are where you will put your fingers
And of course as smart as you are you would know thats strings, well... are the strings.
Your finger will press up agaisnt them

Holding a guitar

You see -Jessica- holding a guitar.
This is how you will hold your guitar. Unless you are left handed and want to turn it the other way. So hold it like she is doing.
Using a pick
Ok now that you know how to hold a guitar lets see how to hold your pick with your main hand, Listed in a picture below.
Hold your pick just like in the drawing above -Supplied By Aleister-
See how the thumb is flatley laying on the pick and the first finger is kinda like a circle. Try to get it to look like that.
